• Alternate ELPAC Accessibility and Accommodations Guidelines (Updated 02/03/23)

  The purpose of this document is to provide additional guidance for maximizing accessibility in the Alternate English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). The Alternate English Language Proficiency Assessments for California Accessibility and Accommodations Guidelines document is a companion to the ELPAC Accessibility Framework document, and is designed to provide educators with support for the selection of available accessibility resources and information on the resources available for test administration.

• The CDE has created a robust Alternate Assessment IEP Team Guidance web page specifying assessment participation criteria intended to help and guide IEP teams in determining whether the California Alternate Assessments (CAAs) and the Alternate English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (Alternate ELPAC) would be the most appropriate assessments for an individual student with the most significant cognitive disabilities.

Answer Choice Cards

• Alternate ELPAC Answer Choice Cards (Posted 02/02/21)

  The answer choice cards are available as a standalone PDF for test examiners to use (as printed cards, which may be resized as needed to fit the student's needs, or on a communication device, as appropriate for the individual student) for students who use them in their daily instruction.

  Some students communicate using picture cards or answer choice cards. If test examiners do not have yet standardized answer choice cards used in the classroom, they may use the ones located here.
