Entering Student Responses and Scores into the Data Entry Interface (DEI)
Video Description: The Data Entry Interface (DEI) is used to enter student responses and scores for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC). This video will demonstrate how to enter student responses and scores into the DEI. The following tests will need to be entered into the DEI:
Initial ELPAC
- Scores for the Speaking domain for all grade levels
- Scores for the Writing domain for kindergarten through grade two
Summative ELPAC
- Scores for the Speaking domain for all grade levels
California Alternate Assessment (CAA) for English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA)
- Scores for selected rubric-scored items for second scoring only
Alternate ELPAC
- Scores for rubric-scored items for second scoring only
Paper–Pencil CAASPP or ELPAC Tests
- CAASPP: Responses for all components of the test
- Initial ELPAC: Scores for Speaking and Writing domains for all grade levels
- Initial ELPAC: Responses for Listening and Reading for all grade levels
- Summative ELPAC: Scores for Speaking for grades three through twelve
- Summative ELPAC: Responses for Listening, Reading, and Writing for grades three through twelve
