Computer-based Initial ELPAC Administration and Scoring Make-up Trainings
The Computer-based Initial English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) testing window will begin on July 1, 2020. The state-sponsored make-up trainings will take place in August 2020.
Attendance at Statewide Make-up Trainings
For new local educational agency (LEA) ELPAC coordinators and trainers, or those who were unable to attend the spring 2020 Initial ELPAC Administration and Scoring Trainings, these 4 one-day Initial ELPAC trainings offer an opportunity to attend missed training. These are make-up trainings only.
The 2020–21 computer-based Initial ELPAC Administration and Scoring Make-up Trainings will provide an overview of the test administration. This training series will focus primarily on the local scoring of the Speaking and Writing domains. The training will run from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The California Department of Education–sponsored statewide trainings will take place in August 2020. The schedule is shown below.
Registration will open on Monday, May 18, 2020. In May, LEA ELPAC coordinators will receive an email containing registration information for their LEA. Please note that due to the limited number of seats at each training, only the LEA ELPAC coordinator will be allowed to register new participants for the trainings.
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis until each training site is full. LEAs may register all of their staff for one location or each participant for separate locations.
