CAASPP and ELPAC: Current Updates to Supported Operating Systems and Secure Browsers for 2022–23
ELPAC email update, September 15, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator, LEA ELPAC Coordinator, or Technology Coordinator:
Operating systems and secure browsers supported for 2022–23 CAASPP and ELPAC testing were updated as of August 2, 2022. All expiring desktop and mobile secure browser versions will continue to receive formal support through October 31, 2022.
Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems will require the desktop secure browser version 15.0 for all CAASPP and ELPAC computer-based test administrations. However, macOS devices using permissive mode must use macOS 10.15 and secure browser version 12.5. ChromeOS and iPadOS will require secure browser version 8.
The tables that follow list the changes in supported operating systems, secure browsers, and associated software that are supported for 2022–23 testing.
