ELPAC email update, August 1, 2023.

Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:

CAASPP and ELPAC systems have resumed operation after being updated to support 2023–24 testing. The following updates have been made:

CAASPP

The 2023–24 Smarter Balanced Interim Assessments for English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics are now available in the Interim Assessment Viewing System and the Test Delivery System. In addition, items that require hand scoring can be scored through the Teacher Hand Scoring System (THSS), and results from the interim assessments can be accessed through the California Educator Reporting System (CERS).

ELPAC

The Security and Test Administration Incident Reporting System is now available for 2023–24.

TOMS

TOMS has transitioned to the 2023–24 administration year for CAASPP users. LEA CAASPP coordinators can upload or individually add their site coordinator, test examiner, and test administrator assignments into TOMS.

• It is recommended that LEA CAASPP coordinators download the 2022–23 CAASPP LEA User List Report to assist with the assignment of new users and roles for 2023–24.

LEA coordinators can now assign the Student Score Report (SSR) language preferences in the [Reporting] tab in TOMS.

• Korean is a newly available SSR language option for Initial and Initial Alternate ELPAC in 2023–24.

Please note, Secure Browser v16 is now available through the Secure Browsers web page on the CAASPP and ELPAC websites. Secure Browser v15 support will expire October 31, 2023.
