ELPAC email update, July 29, 2021.
Dear LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
The 2021–22 Initial ELPAC administration began on July 6, 2021. The Preparing for the 2021–22 Initial ELPAC email provides local educational agencies (LEAs) with necessary information to administer the Initial ELPAC. Additional new resources are now available!
Remote Testing Chapter
For the 2021–22 school year, the Initial ELPAC may be administered in person or remotely. The Initial ELPAC Online Test Administration Manual contains information and instructions about test preparation and administration of the computer-based Initial ELPAC, as well as the kindergarten through grade two paper-based Writing domain. The "Remote Testing" chapter was added to provide LEAs additional information on how to administer the Initial ELPAC remotely. Test examiners should use these directions in addition to the Directions for Administration available for download in the Test Operations Management System
.
Remote administration videos are being updated and created for test examiners, students, and parents/guardians. These will be available on the Videos and Quick Reference Guides web page in August.
Parent/Guardian Notification
Parent/Guardian notification letter templates are on the Parent/Guardian Notification web page and are available to notify parents and guardians about the various testing options for the 2021–22 school year. These letters, translated into additional languages, can be customized and used as a printed documents or provided to parents and guardians electronically. The Initial ELPAC Computer-based Assessment: Parent and Guardian Notification Letter Template includes text about conducting in-person and remote administration.
