CAASPP and ELPAC email update, July 29, 2021.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator, LEA ELPAC Coordinator, or Technology Coordinator:
Operating systems and browsers supported for 2021–22 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) testing were updated as of July 19, 2021. All expiring desktop and mobile secure browser versions will continue to receive formal support through October 31, 2021.
Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems will require the desktop secure browser version 14.0 for all CAASPP and ELPAC computer-based test administrations. However, secure browser version 12.6 will be required to use permissive mode on devices that run MacOS.
Chrome and iPadOS will continue to require secure browser version 7.0.
The tables that follow list the changes in supported operating systems, browsers, and associated software that are supported for 2021–22 testing.
