CAASPP and ELPAC: Confirming Incorrect SSID Used Swap Requests in TOMS
ELPAC email update, July 21, 2023.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
There has been a change in the process for requesting a swap of tests or domains due to an incorrect SSID being used. LEAs will continue to create Security and Test Administration Incident Reporting System (STAIRS) cases involving SSID swaps, but will no longer receive an email requiring that they contact their Success Agent to confirm the details of the case.
LEAs submitting STAIRS cases for an SSID swap will now receive an email with the subject line: "Action MAY BE Needed: Incorrect SSID Used—STAIRS Submission: Case Number [xxxxxx]," detailing that the case is pending approval in STAIRS and requires further information. Communication between the LEA and ETS will now occur in the Notes section of the submitted STAIRS case. When submitting an SSID swap, the following criteria is needed for submission and approval:
- Incorrect SSID (SSID used for testing)
- Correct SSID (SSID test is being moved to)
- Result ID
- Test Status
If the request for an SSID swap is approved, an automated email will be sent to the LEA coordinator with the subject line: "ACTION Needed Incorrect SSID Used—STAIRS Case Approved for Further Processing: Case Number [xxxxxx]," with an important note for LEAs:
"Please note that this approval does not mean that the swap process has been completed. An additional note will be added to this case once the swap has been completed."
Once the SSID swap has been completed ETS will leave a note in the STAIRS case for the LEA, letting them know the swap process has been finalized.
In the event your Incorrect SSID Used STAIRS case is denied, detailed information will be in the Notes section of the submitted STAIRS case with the next step(s) that must be taken by the LEA. If no action is taken after a denial of a case, a Success Agent will reach out to the LEA CAASPP coordinator or LEA ELPAC coordinator to assist with this process.
For further support, use the Get Answers lookup tool or contact your assigned LEA Success Agent
.
