CAASPP and ELPAC: CALPADS File Processed—Additional Action May Be Required
ELPAC email update, May 10, 2022.
Dear LEA CAASPP Coordinator or LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
All updates that LEAs posted into CALPADS by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022, are currently available for student testing. Processed information includes the data from CALPADS as well as test assignments, remote testing video permissions, test administration windows, and exemptions.
The process for requesting an SSID swap, as described in the webinar on Friday, May 6, has been changed—instead of sending an email, please complete the 2022 TOMS SSID Swap form to request an SSID swap(s) after reconciling the Multiple Identifier Report. After the swap information has been submitted, disregard the system email with the following subject line: "Action Needed: Incorrect SSID Used--STAIRS Case Approved for Further Processing: Case Number [XXXX]." You will not need to contact your LEA Success Agent as a result of this action.
Student records in TOMS should be correct. If you notice a student record with an incorrect special education indicator, grade level, or school, please check with the LEA's CALPADS coordinator to confirm the correct information was posted. If the information was posted correctly to CALPADS but did not post correctly to TOMS, the LEA's CALPADS coordinator will need to enter a ticket with the CDE CALPADS office .
To provide LEAs with the latest information and updates about the CALPADS–TOMS issues, a new website, 2021–22 CALPADS Updates , has been published. This website has pages that cover the following topics:
- CALPAD coordinator information
- Current update schedule
- SSID swaps
- Missing information in TOMS
- Participation rates and testing windows
Finally, we apologize for the confusion caused as we stabilize the schedule to process updates into the testing delivery system (TDS). Because of the extra work required to manually prepare files for processing, files will be processed twice a week according to the schedule in the following table. For example, the next batch of files processed will use the information LEAs posted to CALPADS by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 9. 2022. This schedule will remain in place until we are able to reestablish the automated systems.

ETS will continue to update the entry for this matter on the CAASPP Known Issues and ELPAC Known Issues web pages.
Sincerely,
