2019-2020 Summative ELPAC Updated Score Results
ELPAC email update, March 12, 2021.
Dear LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
The current Student Score Data Extract Report includes the results for all students who were eligible to take the 2019–2020 Summative ELPAC whether they completed the assessment, partially completed the assessment, or did not test at all. Local educational agencies (LEAs) requested that this be changed.
On March 15, 2021, a new Student Score Data Extract Report will replace the original report in the Test Operations Management System (TOMS). The new file will include only scores for students who completed testing in all four domains or were partially tested and still received an overall performance level value of 4. All other partially tested students' scores will be removed from the Student Score Data Extract Report.
Student Score Reports (SSRs) have already been created for students who completed testing in all four domains. Students who partially tested and received an overall performance level value of 4 will have SSRs available in TOMS beginning on March 15, 2021.
Partially tested students without scores will now be reported as not-tested with a condition code value of "NT" and will include an indicator value of "N" in the Student Score Data Extract Report. Results for partially tested students with a performance level value of 1, 2, or 3 will also be removed from the California Educator Reporting System.
Along with the new Student Score Data Extract Report, ETS will email LEAs two files. Both files will provide Statewide Student Identifier (SSIDs) of students' scores removed from the extract report. The first file will include a list of SSIDs of students who tested at the LEA. The second file will contain a list of SSIDs of currently enrolled students who tested at a different LEA.
LEAs should work with their student information system vendor to prepare for uploading the updated report. LEAs should also work with their vendor to remove scores for any SSIDs provided in the files that will be in a separate email.
Questions regarding Summative ELPAC results for the 2019–2020 administration should be directed to CalTAC, by phone at 800-955-2954 or by email at caltac@ets.org.
