2019–2020 Summative ELPAC Score Results Update
ELPAC email update, February 1, 2021.
Dear LEA ELPAC Coordinator:
The final results for the 2019–2020 Summative ELPAC administration were released on January 12, 2021, as described in the 2019–2020 Summative ELPAC Administration Results Available Now email.
While 2019–2020 testing was suspended and results were not made available via Public Web Reporting, our intention is still to provide as much administration information to local educational agencies (LEAs) as possible. With that goal in mind, the posted Student Score Data Extract Reports included all results of the partially tested, completed-testing, and not-tested students eligible for the Summative ELPAC.
How does this impact the scores in the Student Score Data Extract Reports?
- Students who were unable to test a domain received a performance level of 1 in the not-tested domain.
- The oral or written composites scale score and performance level values were calculated including the students' not-tested domain(s).
- The overall scale score and performance level values were calculated using the composite scores that included students' not-tested domain(s).
We understand this makes it difficult to differentiate particular students or student groups and to identify those students who did not test certain domains. ETS is finalizing a solution that will help LEAs identify the students who tested and completed all four domains and those who have an alternate assessment or domain exemption assigned to all four domains. At this time, LEAs are advised to delay loading the student score data into their student information system until further guidance is available. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this.
